Woop Woop! My first pregnancy post!

It felt great to FINALLY share this news with family! G and I have known about the baby for about two months now....and not being able to openly talk about was driving me crazy.

We had decided to tell our parents by giving them mugs for Christmas with "I love grandma" and "I love grandpa" on the side. Gallagher and I were extremely nervous the night of the big reveal and we're anxious to get it over with. Erina and her boyfriend, Elliot, captured it on video and I am so glad to know we have that moment in time saved so that we can one day we can show "Goldfish." My mom didn't quite get it first, and kept asking, "what does this mean?!" I think she thought at first we we're trying to tell her in some messed-up way that she's getting old lol.

As part of our secrecy scheme, we came up with the name "goldfish" for the baby- hence the name of this blog:)

Below is one of the pics Gallagher took the week before the big reveal. It's crazy how my stomach has actually fluctuated in size the last two months, because I actually look a lot larger in previous pictures. This- I've learned- can be attributed to major bloating.
How far along: 15 weeks and 3 days

Weight gain: 1-2 pounds (but mostly from over-eating over the Christmas holiday)

Maternity clothes: none so far, although I  did finally have to start using my belly band over my jeans or just using a rubber band to hold them together.

Stretch marks: none

Bellybutton- in or out? it's still laying flat and normal

Engagement ring- on or off? still wearing it!

Sleep: not affected yet. I have noticed that I'm not needing as much as I did that first trimester

Best moment this week? the "Big Reveal"

Movement: none that I can feel. Gallagher claims he can feel some slightly fluttering movements. According to The Bump, I should be feeling the fluttering by now, too, if I sit really still.

Food craving: fruit, fruit, and more fruit. I could live off fruit salad at this point.

Gender? unknown at this point

Labor signs? thankfully, no

What I miss? wine and beer

What I'm looking forward to? Feeling that first kick.

Emotions:  pretty stable right now, compared to the first trimester. I do cry easily thought at things like sappy commercials, cards, and movies. I bawled the other day in Target picking out my grandma's b-day card.
